Dental Veneer Treatment

Initial Consultation

During your initial consultation, your dentist will examine your teeth to determine if veneers are right for you. Your dentist will also discuss your option for CEREC-created veneers or lab-created porcelain veneers.

Your dentist will take impressions of your mouth to craft your veneers. Our Birmingham dental practice uses digital impressions, eliminating the need for messy putty impressions. Depending on which type of veneers you choose, your dentist will either use the impressions to create your veneers using our CEREC system, or send the impressions to the lab to craft your porcelain veneers.

When your veneers are ready, your dentist will prepare the tooth by removing about 0.5 to 0.7 millimeters of enamel from each treated tooth. The amount varies by patient, and your dentist will only remove what is needed to allow your veneers to fit naturally and seamlessly with your other teeth and to prevent them from protruding.

Each veneer is then permanently bonded to the tooth, and your dentist will make any necessary adjustments to ensure proper fit, function, and comfort.

How Long Do Veneers Last?

Veneers last an average of 10 years before they need to be replaced. However, with proper care they can last much longer. Over time, your veneer can wear down and become more susceptible to damage. Though they are considered a permanent solution, you will eventually need to have your veneers replaced.

Financing Options Available

While we do accept most dental insurances, dental veneers are considered a cosmetic dentistry treatment and are not covered by most insurance providers. We do not want financial barriers to prevent patients from achieving the smile of their dreams, so we proudly accept CareCredit® financing to help make your treatment more affordable.

Dr Andrews is so awesome, he is just so gentle, kind and just an amazing person, I can’t say enough about him, words just can’t express how great he is, as a Dentist and a person! And Juanique is definitely unique, he was wonderful, kind and caring, he made sure that I was comfortable and treated me like a queen! And Courtney you are such a unique person too, such awesome treatment I received from you, felt like I was in a spa! Words can’t say enough about how I was treated and cared for. This is what going to a Dentist should feel like! If I could give you all a hundred stars I would! Thank you Dr. Andrews, Juanique, Courtney, Jennifer too, ya’ll are the best!

This practice is FAR ABOVE THE REST. They are so extremely considerate, thoughtful, excellent, and forward thinking. Every need seems to be taken care of. I’m highly appreciative at how extremely cared for by the whole staff I feel every time. Every year I ask to come in earlier than necessary because I just love it that much. Such a great experience in office and over the phone. Kindness goes a long way, but so does clean facility and top notch teams. Go! Try them out and tell them I sent you. For sure!!
