Laura Wathen, DMD Dentist

Dr. Laura Wathen is originally from Bardstown, Kentucky, and earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from the University of Louisville in 2016. She graduated at the top of her class and received the Alpha Omega Scholarship Award, recognizing her as valedictorian.

With nearly a decade of experience, Dr. Wathen provides a wide range of dental services, including cosmetic dentistry, Invisalign®, root canal therapy, extractions, and dentures. She practiced in Fairhope and Saraland, AL, before moving to Birmingham in 2024, and she’s proud to now call it home.

Patients often describe Dr. Wathen as gentle, thorough, and genuinely caring. She prides herself on her attention to detail — whether she's placing a small filling or performing a full smile makeover, she’s committed to getting things just right.

Outside the office, D. Wathen enjoys live ‘80s music, outdoor photography, reading, and beach getaways. At home, she’s usually hanging out with her two dogs: Jennings the miniature dachshund and Dolly the golden spaniel.
